A cache of $10,000 was hidden in
a tree stump about 50 feet from a cabin in Coxcomb Hill, but has never been
recovered.

A gold mine, belonging to a miner
who died in a Seaside, Oregon hospital, is located somewhere between Seaside
and Astoria, possible near the Lewis and Clark Road. It has never been
found.

Gold nuggets were found near an
abandoned mine shaft near Fishhawk Falls by a farmer. It has been found at
least once since then, but has never been worked. The location is now
unknown.

A cache of unknown value is said
to be buried at or near the Flavel House in Astoria.

Approximately 50 ships sank in
the treacherous waters off Clatsop and Tillamook Counties. Many Spanish
coins have been found washed up on these beaches.
